Most of my work is commissioned: a sculptural vessel for a particular setting, a wall piece that develops from a personal story, or a form created with someone specific in mind.
Each is individual, but unmistakably part of my practice.

A commission might grow from a clear idea or simply a feeling for what you would like the piece to bring to a space.
We can talk about its setting, scale, form, proportion, texture and colour before I begin making.
I work by hand, allowing room for the clay and firing to influence the finished piece.
This means that no two works will ever be exactly alike — and that the small variations and marks of making become part of its character.

You do not need a fully formed brief. If you have seen a piece you connect with, have a particular space in mind or would simply like to explore what might be possible, I would love to hear from you.
